Job Description

• Working Monday - Saturday
• Must be willing to work any shift, starting on 1st shift but may be moved to an off shift.
• Expected overtime is 20 hours a week
• Long Term Contract

Must Have:

• Experience with Rockwell PLC
• General Troubleshooting and understanding of robotics processes
• Ability to read drawings

Responsibilities:

• Engineer and design pneumatic piping diagrams.
• Engineer and design electrical wiring diagrams.
• Engineer and design hydraulic piping diagrams.
• Design electrical control panels.
• Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) software.
• Create programmable human-machine interface (HMI) software.
• Perform tryout, debugging, and provide start-up support for control systems.
• Provide technical support for installation of tools and equipment.
• Support training of plant personnel.
• Travel to plant sites as required.

Skills:

• Proficient with programmable machine controls hardware and software.
• Proficient with Servo drive hardware and software.
• Proficient with AutoCAD.
• Familiar with basic electrical standards.
• Familiar with basic safety standards.

Additional Details:

• Assist UAW Trades and Maintenance Team in troubleshooting automation equipment in the Body Shop when not running. Lead Continuous Improvement Projects in the Body Shop.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Rockwell, ControlLogix, PowerFlex 750 drives is required.
• Mainly focus on keeping the line moving for production and small integrations.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Eplan, Siemens, Fanuc programming, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to follow process sequences, troubleshoot issues, communicate effectively with trades and production, and explain technical issues in layman's terms.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates with a degree plus 1-2 years of experience are acceptable.
