Job summary

Smart Building Technologies is seeking a Controls Technician to service EMS/BAS systems, perform sensor upgrades, and optimize controller performance. You will work on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and project installs, while expanding programming skills to cover scenarios where remote support isn’t available.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in HVAC/BAS, strong control theory knowledge, and familiarity with Tridium and Distech systems as a bonus.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in HVAC Systems and DDC/EMS environments.
• Deep understanding of BAS control components, control strategies, and programming.
• Tridium Certification and Distech experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert service to EMS/BAS to ensure optimal performance.
• Assist in service installation projects, including sensor/relay upgrades and controller replacements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance visits to keep systems running flawlessly.
• Troubleshoot and verify service issues with the team to ensure seamless operations.
• Improve programming skills to handle advanced challenges, including remote support gaps.

• Provide expert service to our existing EMS/BAS systems to ensure optimal performance.
