Job summary

iMPact Business Group is seeking a Controls Technician for our Holland, Michigan facility. You will troubleshoot and maintain automated production systems, including PLCs, robotics, and vision systems, across production lines.

The role requires hands-on experience with control systems, serving on 2nd and 3rd shifts, and supporting setup teams and engineers to minimize downtime and improve uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience with troubleshooting and maintaining control systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting PLCs
• Proven ability to establish communication with control systems for diagnostics and programming

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment, including PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and servo drives
• Provide ongoing technical support to operations, setup teams, and engineers
• Lead or assist with continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency and uptime
• Implement and maintain a wide range of control systems across manufacturing lines
• Conduct system verification and ensure accurate documentation of controls-related work
• Support and perform preventative maintenance activities
• Mentor or assist other maintenance and technical team members as needed
