Job summary

LVI Associates in Houston, TX is seeking a qualified BAS Controls Technician to join a growing Building Automation contractor. You will startup, commission, troubleshoot, and service BAS projects across the region, collaborating with customers, project managers, and engineering teams.

This role offers exposure to a variety of projects, hands-on development, and clear growth potential as the company expands its Houston presence. Johnson Controls Metasys familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
• Knowledge of BAS controls, HVAC, and building automation tech.
• Experience troubleshooting and servicing control systems.
• Johnson Controls Metasys experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Startup, commission, troubleshoot, and service Building Automation Systems
• Perform system diagnostics and resolve controls-related issues
• Work closely with customers, project managers, and engineering teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Support system upgrades, retrofits, service work, and new installations
• Configure and maintain BAS front-end and field devices
• Assist with commissioning and system optimization activities
• Provide exceptional customer service and technical support

Requirements

• Previous experience working within the Building Automation Systems (BAS) industry

• Familiarity with Johnson Controls Metasys is highly preferred
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
