Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a skilled on-site Maintenance Technician for our Fruitport, MI facility. You will support caster operations, program PLCs, troubleshoot robotics, and help startup new automated cells to maximize uptime and safety.

Responsibilities include on-floor manufacturing support, safety compliance, and collaboration with IT and robotics teams to optimize production networks. A high school diploma and basic PLC/robotic experience are required for this role.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Basic PLC programming and troubleshooting experience is required.
Prior robotic or maintenance experience is required.
Basic understanding of casting operations is required.

Responsibilities

Provide first response on-floor manufacturing support.
Communicate with Robotics Safety SPA to ensure a safe workplace.
Assist in startup of new automated cell installations.
Identify opportunities to improve uptime and reduce costs.
Caster PLC programming and troubleshooting, caster robot, MU Robot support and troubleshooting, MU Machine Vision support, MU Cell and Casting Cell changeover.
HMI programming and troubleshooting
PLC integration to axillary devices, such as Cameras, Safety scanners, Etc.
PLC Ladder logic programming to support equipment.
Coordinate with IT for production / PLC network communications
Observes and practices all applicable lockout/tagout requirements during all activities.
Observes equipment malfunction and adjusts or repairs as needed to allow equipment to operate at maximum efficiency, within operating parameters, safely and correctly.
Other duties as assigned.
