Job summary

Nestlé S.A. Allentown seeks a Controls Technical Specialist II to troubleshoot and maintain PLC/PC-based automation systems on the 2nd shift (2pm–10pm). You will oversee PLC upgrades, wiring changes, and support production line modifications with the maintenance team.

Responsibilities include configuring PLCs, performing preventive maintenance, supporting capital projects, upgrading control software, and aiding training of maintenance staff. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of PLC software and hardware troubleshooting in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments.
• Associate’s degree candidates with 1+ year of PLC/HMI experience are eligible.
• Experience with PLC upgrades and wiring modifications in a manufacturing setting.

As aControls TechnicalSpecialist I,you’llbe responsible fortroubleshooting,maintaining, and enhancing the accuracy, reliability,and systemcontrol’sdata credibility of PLC and PC-based automation systems. In this role, you will oversee PLC upgrades and wiring modifications on productionequipment andwork directly with our maintenance team to troubleshoot and support production line modifications.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• 3+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments

OR

• Associate’s degree in a technical discipline
• 1+ years of applicable experience in PLC software and hardware troubleshooting and/or PLC-based HMI systems in controls, automation, electrical, or industrial maintenance environments

The approximate pay range for this position is $70,000 to $97,000 per year. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge,skillsand abilities as well as geographic location.
