What you will do

Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoot and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Respond to warranty calls. Provide customers with high-level service to resolve building inefficiencies and service-related issues. As a trusted advisor, deliver solutions and outcomes at the time of service.

How you will do it
  • Load system-level controller software.
  • Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete documentation.
  • Keep management and contractors or customers informed of progress and issues.
  • Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as timesheets, expense reports, and documentation.
  • Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicate with contractors or customers upon arrival and before leaving the site.
  • Follow all safety standards and attend safety training, emphasizing safety for employees and subcontractors.
  • Provide recommendations and solutions to improve facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
  • Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
What we look for

Required

Vocational School four-year program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar field plus three years of industry experience or one year experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in HVAC. Knowledge of HVAC control systems, facilities management systems, site prep, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniques. Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls professionally. Ability to explain technical info to technical and non-technical audiences. Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-critical building automation equipment. PC experience and HVAC software programming skills.
