Base pay range

$33.00/hr - $33.00/hr

What You Will Do

Performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to warranty calls.

How You Will Do It
  • Loads system-level controller software.
  • Experience in the commercial construction industry working on a job site.
  • Performs complex commissioning and diagnostics from system controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes documentation.
  • Keeps management and contractors informed of progress and issues.
  • Calibrates systems with basic electronic test equipment.
  • Completes administrative tasks like time sheets, expense reports, and documentation.
  • Documents changes and provides information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicates with contractors or customers upon arrival and departure from the site.
  • Follows all safety standards and attends safety training, prioritizing safety for employees and subcontractors.
Required
What we look for:
  • Two-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or similar, or 3-5 years of industry experience or servicing electronic/mechanical HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of HVAC controls, facilities management systems, installation, and servicing techniques.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to professionally represent Johnson Controls.
  • Ability to explain technical info to technical and non-technical audiences. Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-critical building automation equipment.
  • PC experience and ability to program HVAC-related software.
  • Experience in the commercial construction industry.
  • This is a Bargaining Unit Position.

Pay range: $33.87 hourly, determined by CBA/rate sheet. Benefits provided through a local labor union under a collective bargaining agreement.
