Job summary

CPS Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to ensure assurance of all control, automation, and safety instrumented systems for the TNT Project. The role focuses on architecture, hardware, software, and cybersecurity to support safe operation, commissioning, and asset reliability.

After commissioning, the position transitions to a site-based Controls Engineer supporting plant operations, including alarm management, operator interfaces, and training to meet readiness milestones.

Qualifications

Bachelor-level engineering degree in a relevant discipline and 3+ years in industrial control.
Experience with control system architecture, design, and cybersecurity considerations.
Exposure to commissioning, startup, and safety validation processes.

Responsibilities

Engineering Assurance: verify control system architecture and design from FEED onwards.
Functional Safety: support SIL determination and SIS design assurance.
Construction & Commissioning: assist installation, loop checks, FAT/SAT, and issue resolution.
Operational Readiness: contribute to alarm management, interfaces, and operator training.
