Saronic Technologies is seeking a skilled Controls Systems Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated control systems. You will work with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to deliver high‑performance solutions that meet safety standards.

Responsibilities include designing and commissioning PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems, developing control architecture, and performing FAT/SAT. The role requires a strong PLC background, SCADA experience, and familiarity with industrial protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience in controls systems design and implementation.
Proficient in IEC 61131-3 languages for PLC programming.
Experience with SCADA/HMI platforms such as Ignition, FactoryTalk, or WinCC.
Knowledge of industrial protocols (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC-UA).
Familiar with instrumentation and process control fundamentals.

Responsibilities

Design, program, and commission PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems for industrial processes.
Develop and maintain control system architecture including hardware and HMI.
Perform system modeling, simulation, and PID tuning to optimize control strategies.
Conduct FAT and SAT for new and modified systems.
Troubleshoot control faults to minimize downtime.
Create and maintain technical documentation (narratives, I/O lists, diagrams).
Collaborate with process engineers to translate requirements into specs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards (IEC 61511, IEC 62443, NFPA 79).
Provide technical support and training to operations staff.
Participate in hazard reviews (HAZOP, SIL) and implement SIFs.
