Job summary
ManpowerGroup is seeking a Controls Systems Engineer III for our client in Spokane, WA, 100% onsite. The role focuses on developing low-level control software for sophisticated robotic systems used in automation and fulfillment environments.
You will design motion control, machine sequencing, and supervisory functions, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to scale deployments and improve system reliability.
Qualifications
- Experience in controls software development for machine or process control systems.
- Experience with IEC61131 languages such as ST/LD; multi-language experience is a plus.
- Participation in at least two major project cycles as the primary development engineer.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts and produce detailed technical documentation.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic subsystems including sensors, barcode readers, and drives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain low-level control software for complex mechatronic and robotic systems.
- Design, implement, and optimize motion control, sequencing, and supervisory functions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale deployment and improve robustness.
- Create comprehensive documentation and training materials for technicians and junior engineers.
- Lead design-through-deployment efforts and mentor teammates.
