Job summary

Teknor Apex Company in Pawtucket, RI seeks an experienced Control Systems Engineer II to join Corporate Engineering. You will design and draft project elements, liaise with manufacturers for materials, and manage quotes and schedules while ensuring safety standards are followed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electrical/computer systems.
• Position requires between 5-7 years of engineering experience
• Strong skills in Ladder Logic with Allen-Bradley PLCs (PLC 5, SLC, ControlLogix) and related tooling.
• Experience with SolidWorks Electrical, HMI design tools (FactoryTalk/Ignition).
• Experience with Ethernet/IP and basic networking fundamentals.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and Java.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft project elements for implementation.
• Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors for materials.
• Obtain quotes and delivery schedules for projects.
• Document engineering drawings and project files.
• Ensure adherence to company safety procedures.
• Write Ladder Logic for new and existing equipment.
• Perform HMI design and basic PC/networking tasks.
• Provide technical support for facilities worldwide.
• Participate in maintenance as needed.
