Job summary

Cintal, Inc. is seeking a controls engineer to validate and test machine controls, analyze performance data, and troubleshoot CAN and Ethernet communications.

You will support software flashing, calibration, and system integration, with field testing on heavy equipment and collaboration with engineering to enhance performance. Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering and 1+ year of controls/validation experience are expected, with visa sponsorship for eligible candidates.

Education & Experience

• 1+ years of experience in Controls Engineering, Validation, or Testing.
• Experience with machine controls, CAN communication, and Ethernet networks.
• Familiarity with software flashing, calibration, and system integration.
• Experience with data collection, troubleshooting, and validation testing.
• Exposure to heavy equipment, automotive, or off-highway machines is preferred.

Required Technical Skills

• Knowledge of machine controls systems and validation testing.
• Experience with CAN, J1939, and Ethernet communication protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, and control systems.
• Experience with data acquisition, analysis, and reporting tools.
• Software flashing, calibration, and system integration experience.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical documentation.
