Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a controls systems technician in Milwaukee to perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. You will troubleshoot HVAC mechanical, electrical, and control problems and respond to warranty calls.

The role involves loading system-level software, performing diagnostics from supervisory devices to end devices, and maintaining thorough commissioning documentation while keeping customers informed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or HVAC).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Low voltage/120 volt wiring skills.
  • HVAC experience.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Excel and Visio.

Responsibilities

  • Load system-level controller software.
  • Performs commissioning and system diagnostics from supervisory level devices to system-level controllers and end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation.
  • Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
  • Calibrates systems requiring electronic test equipment.
  • Completes administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
  • Documents change and provide information for as-built documentation.
  • Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
  • Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.

What you will do

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $27.98 - 32.82 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
