Job summary

Schneider Electric in Ohio is seeking a Senior Maintenance Professional to keep our production equipment running at peak performance, focusing on safety, quality, and reliability. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 year college degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in the Electrical, Controls field within Manufacturing.
  • Experience with Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic Systems.
  • Strong PLC programming skills.
  • Electrical/Mechanical CAD experience.
  • Motion control experience.
  • Robot programming experience.
  • Machine Vision experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic.

Responsibilities

  • Controls/technical support for shift production, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for downtime.
  • Identify and eliminate production barriers for automation including presses, welders, conveyors, and robotics.
  • Update and improve controls systems including robotics, ladder logic, and motor controls.
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance on machine control modifications or installations.
  • Create and maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC/programs.
  • Implement and maintain data collection system for shop floor equipment.
  • Coordinate with OEMs to resolve high-level technical barriers of equipment.
  • Support piloting and qualification of new industrialized machines and tools.

Job description

Join our dynamic maintenance team and be at the forefront of keeping our production equipment running at peak performance! We’re looking for a skilled Senior Maintenance Professional who can bring their technical expertise to ensure our manufacturing operations maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and reliability.

What will you do:
  • Controls/Technical support for various Shift production including fabrication, metal finishing, and busway assembly, through troubleshooting and determining root causes for downtime events.
  • Production barrier identification and elimination for various levels of automation including stamping presses, welders, conveyors, automated assembly, and robotics.
  • Update, modify, and continuously improve existing controls systems including robotics, ladder logic programs, relay logic, electrical distribution, motor controls, operator interface, pneumatic/hydraulic distribution
  • Coordinate with production and maintenance on existing machine control modifications or installations
  • Create, maintain and keep current all documentation: electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics; panel layouts; PLC, operator display, operator interface, and robot programs.
  • Implement and maintain data collection system for shop floor production equipment
  • Coordinate with OEMs and other external technical resources to resolve high level technical barriers of process equipment
  • Support implementation of new industrialized machines and tools through piloting and qualification
What qualifications will make you successful:
