Qualifications

• At least 8 years of commercial building-automation or HVAC controls experience.
• Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, and sequences of operation.
• Ability to safely use digital meters, laptops, controls software, and mobile documentation tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and document controllers, panels, sensors, actuators, relays, network devices, and wiring.
• Review control drawings, points lists, sequences of operation, equipment submittals, network architecture, and project requirements before work begins.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, controller setup, database loading, graphics verification, calibration, functional testing, and commissioning support.
• Use meters, laptops, manufacturer software, trend data, alarms, and operating information to diagnose and correct controls and integration issues.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, label, test, and document controllers, panels, sensors, actuators, relays, network devices, and control wiring in accordance with approved drawings and standards.
• Review control drawings, points lists, sequences of operation, equipment submittals, network architecture, and project requirements before work begins.
• Perform point-to-point checkout, controller setup, database loading, graphics verification, calibration, functional testing, and commissioning supportUse meters, laptops, manufacturer software, trend data, alarms, and operating information to diagnose and correct controls and integration issues.

Required Qualifications

• At least 8 years of commercial building-automation, HVAC controls, low-voltage, or closely related experience.
• Ability to read control drawings, wiring diagrams, points lists, sequences of operation, and equipment information.
• Ability to use digital meters, laptops, controls software, and mobile documentation tools safely and accurately.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree or certificate in HVAC, controls, electronics, electrical technology, networking, or a related field.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, Niagara, SQL, virtual machines, or third-party system integration.
