Job summary

Kids for the Future is seeking a Controls Project Manager II to coordinate all activities for timely project delivery in a manufacturing setting. You will set schedules, assemble teams, monitor budgets, and allocate resources with input from team leads.

You will develop RFQs/RFPs, define scope and budgets, and work with program managers and engineers to drive execution. Travel is 30–50% as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Two to four years of project management experience, preferably in material handling, industrial, or manufacturing.
• Willingness to travel 30–50% and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects through full life cycle, overseeing both large programs and smaller initiatives.
• Create long- and short-term plans with milestones and deadlines.
• Develop RFQ/RFPs for contracting electrical installation contractors and controls engineering.
• Define scope and budget, monitor spend, and request funding as needed.
• Coordinate with program managers, controls engineers, and cross-functional teams to drive engineering activities.
• Ensure cross-departmental schedule and testing plans are developed with stakeholders.
• Manage vendor and supplier contracts and communicate expected deliverables.
• Participate in Change Control Board analyses and approve change requests.
• Analyze project metrics to identify improvements and cost savings.
