gpac is hiring a Controls Manager in the United States (Riverview, FL) to lead the controls engineering team responsible for custom equipment and packaged systems. You will oversee design, programming, testing, commissioning, and department operations to drive performance and quality.

The role requires experience leading industrial controls, strong PLC skills, and knowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, and UL standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience leading controls engineering teams in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong PLC programming and controls troubleshooting experience.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring, control panels, automation systems, and UL standards.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, GE, IDEC, Johnson Controls, Carrier, or similar systems preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and production schedules.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

  • Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support for controls systems and field startups.
  • Manage department performance, employee development, and training initiatives; ensure compliance with electrical codes, industry standards, and company procedures.
  • Support estimating, applications, and customer technical requirements as needed.
