About the Opportunity:

A rapidly expanding building automation and integration firm is seeking an experienced Controls Estimator to join its San Diego, CA team. This mid-sized organization supports high-profile commercial and government clients, including Fortune 500 companies, and is known for delivering advanced BAS solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Salary: $75,000–$100,000 DOE + Bonus
• Status: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed take-offs, bill of materials development, and cost estimation
• Review plans, specifications, and RFP/RFQ packages to define project scope
• Assist the sales team with bid preparation, proposal writing, and pricing strategy
• Select materials and controls equipment aligned with design requirements
• Create scopes of work for BAS/controls bids and project proposals

Ideal Candidate:

• Background in estimating for building automation, HVAC controls, or related trades
• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation
• Excellent coordination, communication, and organizational skills
