Actalent is seeking an experienced Controls Engineering Technician to support commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting at a large-scale data center campus in Arizona. You will focus on electrical controls, instrumentation, power monitoring, and building automation in a mission-critical environment, with independent work in a fast-paced construction setting.

• 4+ years of low-voltage electrical construction experience.
• 1+ year of experience as a Controls Technician, Instrumentation Technician, or Automation Technician.
• Proficiency in control wiring and terminations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience in instrumentation installation and calibration.
• Knowledge of RS-485 / Modbus communications.
• Ability to work inside control panels and junction boxes.
• Capability to work with limited supervision.

• Safely operate lifts and other access equipment as required.

Job Description

This role focuses on electrical controls, instrumentation, power monitoring systems, and building automation infrastructure in a mission-critical environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in low-voltage electrical systems, instrumentation, and industrial controls and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

Work Environment

This position involves traveling to data centers primarily located in Arizona. The work environment is fast-paced and construction-oriented, requiring the use of various access equipment. The role demands a high level of independence and expertise in controls engineering, PLC programming and troubleshooting in mission-critical settings.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Litchfield Park, AZ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
