Job summary

The Controls Engineering Manager will lead a team of controls engineers, drive technical standards, oversee capital projects, and mentor engineering talent to ensure safety, compliance, and project success.

The role requires overseeing design and implementation of material handling automation, managing budgets, and coordinating with executives on strategic technical focus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive industrial controls or automation engineering experience.
• 3+ years in a direct leadership role.
• Experience with PLCs - Ladder Logic.
• High proficiency with MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple concurrent engineering projects, delegating authority and responsibility to subordinates as appropriate.
• Allocate engineering resources to successfully accomplish company objectives and priorities.
• Perform administrative and oversight functions in approving proposals, expenditures, and policy enforcement.
• Day-to-day interaction and management of engineering team and manage recruiting, hiring, training.
• Establish and approve documentation and processes.
• Manage engineering team effectively to project timelines and budgets and ensure product/project best industry practices.
