Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or similar, with 1+ years of experience.
• Controls engineering experience is required.
• Familiarity with feedback control systems.
• Experience in Hardware-in-the-Loop.
• Experience with PI, PD, state-space, and similar control techniques.
• Experience using MATLAB, Simulink and QUARC.
• Understanding of software concepts and languages.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Experience with both mechanical and electronic components and systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating and following mechanical and electrical design schedules from concept to completion.
• Test, evaluate, modify and calibrate products and instruments.
• Analyze plant processes and implement improvements; troubleshoot hardware and processes.
• Analyze project requirements and perform technical calculations supporting design including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.
