Job summary

Ultra Corpotech Inc. is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer – Automation & Robotics Specialist to design, program, integrate, and optimize automated manufacturing equipment on the production floor in Conroe, Texas.

The role focuses on ABB robots, PLC programming, HMI/SCADA, and safety systems to improve OEE and uptime. You will collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety teams to drive continuous improvement, support new equipment launches, and ensure reliable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related engineering field.
5–10+ years of hands-on controls experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience programming and troubleshooting ABB robots.
Strong PLC experience with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens.
Experience with robotic welding or automated assembly is desirable.
Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, program, and maintain industrial automation and control systems.
Program, configure, teach, and troubleshoot ABB robotic systems for welding and handling.
Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block.
Support PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley/Rockwell and Siemens.
Develop and modify HMI/SCADA applications for operation, diagnostics, and monitoring.
Integrate robots, PLCs, HMIs, drives, sensors, and safety systems; troubleshoot issues.
Perform root-cause analysis on equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Optimize robotic paths, PLC logic, and cycle times to improve productivity.
