Job summary

MacLean-Fogg is seeking a Controls Engineer for our Farmington Hills, Michigan location. You will design, develop, and maintain instrumentation and control systems that support safe, efficient, high-quality manufacturing.

You will work hands-on with PLCs, HMIs, and embedded control applications while troubleshooting and improving automation systems. You will design, develop, and implement automation systems for manufacturing, support commissioning of new facilities, diagnose malfunctions, and

Qualifications

2–4 years of hands-on control systems engineering experience.
Experience troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs.
Experience with embedded control applications and interfaces.
Strong written and verbal communication; able to document details accurately.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement automation systems for manufacturing and related processes.
Develop and modify PLC, HMI, and embedded control applications to meet requirements.
Support setup and commissioning of new facilities and upgrades to existing systems.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve control system malfunctions.
Recommend improvements to increase efficiency, reliability, and quality.
Create and maintain specifications, configurations, procedures, and documentation.
