Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Controls Engineer to design and support electrical controls for new and existing equipment. You will work on PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs, and create and modify wiring diagrams and schematics.

This role requires collaboration with engineers and production teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and timely project delivery. Responsibilities include PLC programming, documentation, and field startup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years’ experience with electrical systems or manufacturing.
• 2+ years’ experience working with CAD Electrical.

Responsibilities

• Design schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel layout drawings using CAD.
• Design and interpret PLC code for customized material handling applications.
• Specify and verify controls requirements on new equipment and retrofits including maintenance of drawings/documentation.
• Perform PLC programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
