Job summary

The role emphasizes modernizing aging systems and supporting startups and capital projects to drive reliability across the steel processing operation.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in industrial steel processing or a comparable environment.
• Strong PLC programming, HMIs, and motor control knowledge.
• Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems and drives.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and controls issues and implement solutions.
• Excellent collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead as the primary technical resource for PLCs, HMIs, and industrial networking.
• Troubleshoot and improve PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
• Support equipment reliability, uptime, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage small- to medium-sized process improvement and capital projects.
• Assist with new installations, upgrades, commissioning, and startups.
