AST is hiring a Controls Engineer for an onsite role in Tacoma, WA. You will design, develop, implement, and maintain advanced automated pharmaceutical fill-finish equipment and digital services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accredited electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with PLC, HMI designs, industrial communications, machine vision.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Willingness to pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for automated systems using PLC, robotics, and HMI.
• Develop software, schematics, control systems, and smart technologies for machine automation.
• Take design of products from conceptual phase to practical solution, to market.
• Collaborate with peers, vendors and technology platforms to provide controls and technological solutions.
• Perform testing, evaluation, and reporting on new products and systems.
• Maintain technical records, test results, and documentation.
