Job summary

A custom automation company is seeking a Controls Engineer based in Rutherford County, Middle Tennessee. In this hands-on role, you will design and implement electrical control systems, program PLCs, and handle equipment startups. The ideal candidate has over 2 years of experience with Controls / PLC systems, particularly with Allen-Bradley or Siemens. Offering a salary range of $95,000 – $115,000 plus benefits. Travel is local with some out-of-state travel required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Controls / PLC systems.
• Strong experience programming and commissioning Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
• Ability to independently start up and commission new equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems.
• Program, configure, and commission PLC-based control systems.
• Perform full equipment startup from initial power-up to final acceptance.
• Troubleshoot and optimize control systems during testing and installation.
• Support automation projects across multiple industries.
