Job summary

PACCAR Engine Company in Columbus, Mississippi is seeking an engineer to support machining, electrical and control systems for CNC and gantry systems. The role involves designing modifications, coordinating bids, and ensuring on-schedule completion with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
Extensive knowledge using Siemens PLC products.
Familiar with risk assessments and safety evaluation.
Ability to manage multiple projects with the flexibility to adapt to conflicting requirements.
Knowledge of city, state, and federal electrical codes is preferred.

Responsibilities

Designs and implements modifications to existing electrical system including robotics, automation equipment and CNC machines.
Solicits bids, selects contractors, and coordinates with maintenance and production as required.
Ensures projects are completed within budget and on schedule while following safety requirements.
Coordinates and supervises major maintenance, emergency repairs, and corrective actions on equipment and facilities.
Maintains necessary records and documentation, preparing management reports as necessary.
Implement and maintain computerized PLC and CNC systems.
Provide maintenance supervision support as needed.
Six Sigma project support and ISO documentation adherence.
