Job summary

Power Flame, a subsidiary of Astec Industries, seeks a senior electrical/composite design engineer to develop electrical diagrams, schematics, and panel layouts for burners and control systems. You will create BOMs, PID schematics, and program controllers, with PLC experience a plus.

You will support technicians and teams across engineering and service. The role requires a bachelor’s in mechanical or electrical engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of NFPA 70/NEC

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of engineering experience required.
• Knowledge of electrical design standards (NFPA 70, NEC) and C1D2 environments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical diagrams and scheme layouts.
• Design electrical schematics and panel layouts using AutoCAD and AutoCADE Electrical.
• Create BOMs using AutoCADE and Excel and generate PID schematics.
• Program electronic controllers and radar devices; PLC programming desired.
• Provide electrical technical support to technicians and departments.
