Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Controls Engineering Intern to join our team in Walled Lake, MI. You will work with engineering mentors on PLC control schematics, configure PLC/HMI programs, test panel builds, and assist in commissioning at client sites.

No prior experience is required; training will be provided. You should be team-oriented, detail-focused, and eager to learn. Travel may be required around scholastic commitments.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university degree program with at least 1 year of related experience.
• Experience gained through degree work can substitute for industry experience.
• Must be computer literate and able to use Microsoft Windows and Office.
• Able to work well in a team and be eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Design PLC Control schematics.
• Configure PLC and HMI programs based on client requirements.
• Test new panel builds prior to shipment.
• Assist in commissioning of systems at client jobsites.
• Assist Building Management System Engineers in developing database structures.
