Job summary

NSG Group is seeking a highly capable Electrical/Automation Engineer for our Shelbyville, IN plant to support a 24/7 glass processing operation. You will program PLCs, robots and HMIs, optimize machines, and coordinate upgrades while ensuring safety and compliance with codes.

The role requires hands-on work on the production floor across shifts and collaboration with maintenance and production teams. A BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, 3+ years manufacturing experience, and

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Proficiency in PLC programming, robotics, machine vision and CAD.
Strong PLC/HMI programming skills; power, motors & controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

Program PLCs, barcode readers, HMIs, robots and PCs.
Configure systems and database settings for new cells and parts.
Modify and upgrade existing production equipment.
Provide analysis and troubleshoot automation equipment.
Coordinate project controls/electrical activities to ensure timing, quality, and cost targets are met.
Develop safeguards and improve team member safety through process improvements.
