Job summary

Premier Group in Cincinnati seeks a hands-on Controls Engineer to design, program, integrate, and support control systems for custom industrial equipment. You will cover the full machine lifecycle from design through startup and customer acceptance.

You will develop PLC/HMI programs, support electrical controls designs, and troubleshoot during build and field runoff, collaborating with project teams to deliver reliable automation solutions on time.

Qualifications

• Experience with PLC/HMI programming and industrial automation systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical or similar electrical CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Develop PLC and HMI programs for Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Support electrical controls design including schematics, panel layouts, and documentation.
• Debug, test, and support machinery during build, runoff, and startup phases.
• Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, Manufacturing, Electricians, and Customers across projects.
