Talos Automation seeks an experienced Controls Engineer to support GM GCCS-compliant automation projects across multiple U.S. sites. The role requires hands-on engineering with PLCs, HMIs, and equipment integration, ensuring all work meets GM specifications.

The ideal candidate has automotive controls experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams. Travel to project sites will be needed to support commissioning and start-up activities.

Qualifications

• Automotive controls experience required.
• Hands-on PLC programming and automation systems experience.
• Familiarity with GM GCCS standards and specifications.
• Experience with controls commissioning and equipment integration.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and commission industrial control systems to GM GCCS standards.
• Ensure PLC, HMI, and automation systems meet GM specifications.
• Support integration of PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and automated equipment.
• Review electrical schematics, I/O lists, and system layouts.
• Diagnose and resolve controls issues during installation and ramp-up.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to deliver controls solutions.
• Support validation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to timelines and quality standards.
