Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Controls Engineer to design, build, and approve electrical control systems for high-volume CNC manufacturing. You will work with engineers to develop standards, train plant personnel, and ensure safe, reliable operation.

Bring a bachelor’s in electrical engineering and at least five years of experience, plus hands-on knowledge of automation, electronics, and equipment maintenance. The role offers career advancement and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, controls, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
Five years of relevant work experience.
Experience designing control systems for high-volume CNC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Research and develop control circuits, power needs, and programmable controls systems.
Assist operations in testing and corrective actions for control circuits.
Coordinate with vendors to specify control equipment for machinery maintenance.
Train plant personnel on programmable controllers and control equipment.
Design, develop, and install controls on retooled machines and bid packages for controls builds.
Ensure all controls systems meet safety protocols and participate in equipment run-offs.
