Job summary

Opportunity Group, Inc. is seeking Controls Engineers for permanent positions across Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo areas. Roles range from entry-level to Lead Controls and Engineering Manager.

The work involves designing and programming PLC/ HMI software, integrating robotics and vision systems, and supporting start-up and debugging. Most positions require minimal travel and offer strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BSEE or related Associate degree preferred, but experience may compensate.
• Experience programming PLCs and HMIs.
• Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens is preferred.
• Experience with robotics, vision systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team; attention to detail.
• Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.

Seeking Controls Engineers with PLC programming, troubleshooting and/or Controls Design experience for several permanent positions currently available in the Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon and Kalamazoo areas. All these permanent positions offer a variety of exciting projects in the controls automation industry for reputable and growing companies. Opportunities range from entry-level to Lead Controls and Engineering Manager roles. Most jobs require minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical solutions for automation, process, assembly, or material handling equipment.
• Design and program PLC and HMI software to meet requirements.
• Programming, troubleshooting, and modifying automation machines, robotics, and vision systems.
• Assist with start-up and technical support.
• Project Engineer comprehensive systems from start to finish.

Requirements

• Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree or Associate's degree preferred, but not required with relevant experience.
• Experience programming PLCs and HMIs.
• Allen Bradley and Siemens experience preferred.
• Experience with programming and integrating robotics, vision systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics is a plus. SCADA, AutoCAD, or SolidWorks Electrical experience also a plus.
• Able to work independently as well as within a team.
• Close attention to detail and accuracy.
• Must be a US Citizen or have a Green Card.

Compensation and Benefits for the Controls Engineer positions:

• $70,000.00 to $140,000.00 / year depending on experience level
