Job summary
Top Echelon Software LLC in the Indianapolis area is seeking a Controls Engineer for third shift to support a confidential beverage manufacturer. You will develop and implement control strategies for automated production and warehouse systems, program PLCs, troubleshoot motion systems, and help standardize controls practices across facilities.
This role requires an associate degree or 2–4 years of related experience, strong knowledge of Allen‑Bradley/Rockwell platforms, and the ability to travel
Qualifications
- Associate degree or 2–4 years of related work experience.
- Advanced PLC programming skills and strong knowledge of motion control.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex equipment problems and develop controls solutions.
- Strong analytical, planning, organization, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead through technical expertise across departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement control strategies for automated production equipment and warehouse operations.
- Program, troubleshoot, test, and repair PLC-based controls and motion systems.
- Support design and development of controls for new equipment and upgrades.
- Establish consistent programming standards and controls documentation across facilities.
- Evaluate automation solutions and recommend improvements to equipment performance.
