Controls Engineer (3+ yrs PLC/HMI programming, industrial control systems exp. req.) Description
Our client in the data center cooling industry is looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team near Mesquite, TX. You will program, test, and commission the electrical and control systems that power liquid cooling equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and instrumentation. You will support the full product lifecycle, from electrical schematics and panel design through shop-floor testing, troubleshooting, and occasional customer-site commissioning. Most projects begin with an established logic base, but you will gradually take ownership of software revisions, control algorithms, interfaces, and new product features in an engineered-to-order manufacturing environment. You will initially work alongside a senior controls engineer before assuming greater responsibility for the controls platform. To be considered, you must have controls engineering experience involving fluid systems, PLC/HMI programming, VFDs, instrumentation, electrical schematics, and hands‑on troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to help shape products supporting AI and high-density computing while working with a collaborative, hands‑on engineering team.
