Our client, an industry leader in facilities management and building automation, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their dedicated team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be an essential part of the Facilities Maintenance department, supporting the seamless operation and optimization of building systems. Location: Pontiac, MI
Pay Range: $42 to $44 Per hour
What's the Job?
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize building automation systems, PLCs, and control systems to ensure efficient facility operations.
- Respond to and resolve preventive maintenance tasks, work orders, and service calls promptly and effectively.
- Manage building management systems, including Tridium platforms, coordinating with contractors to ensure proper functionality.
- Create and maintain backups of PLC, HMI, and VFD software parameters monthly to ensure system integrity.
- Provide emergency after-hours support for critical systems as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
What's Needed?
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience working with industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, and building automation systems.
- Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting, especially with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms.
- Experience with building management systems, particularly Tridium platforms, and familiarity with VFDs, HMI, and SCADA applications.
- Maximo CMMS experience and proficiency with Corrigo work order management system are required.
