Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Controls Engineer 2. The work will be done onsite full time at Mossville, IL. This is a long-term, 24-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $53/hour + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay). The typical schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with hours occasionally shifting based on test-cell schedules, and the position may require up to 25% travel to Lafayette, IN.
The Controls Engineer will support the design, calibration, analysis, and validation of advanced engine control systems. This position focuses on feedback control of dynamic systems, using MATLAB/Simulink to develop and analyze controls in both simulation and real-engine test environments. The engineer will work across the engine controls lifecycle, from researching and developing new control algorithms through calibration, validation, troubleshooting, and support of existing products. This is a hands-on engineering role combining analytical controls development with direct exposure to engine hardware and test cells.
This position offers an opportunity to gain end-to-end engine controls experience, from researching new control algorithms through supporting established products in the field. You’ll apply feedback-controls knowledge to design, calibrate, and validate advanced controllers while gaining direct hands-on exposure to real engine hardware and test-cell environments. The role also provides an opportunity to work alongside a large, collaborative engineering team with deep controls expertise while contributing to meaningful engine technology and product-development programs.
