Job summary

Searchmasters Inc in Newport News, VA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver core electrical engineering and project management expertise to enhance plant operations and drive continuous improvement.

You will lead electrical and controls aspects of capital projects, manage upgrades, and provide programming across PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Servo Drives, and SCADA to modernize automation and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with programming electrical systems such as PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs.
• Broad familiarity with a wide variety of automation brands and platforms is highly desirable.
• Ability to work with diverse legacy systems and drive modernization and upgrade efforts.
• Proficiency in 3D design packages for electrical panel layout.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical panel layouts utilizing 3D design packages
