Automation Movers International is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to lead electrical control system design, development, and testing for manufacturing environments in Michigan. You will write PLC software (Allen-Bradley/ControlLogix) and configure HMI interfaces, with travel to customer sites as needed.

The role emphasizes detail-oriented panel design, startup support, and training for customer personnel, while representing a professional image on site.

Formación

• Minimum 2–5 years Automation/Controls experience.
• High School Diploma with 5–8 years Automation/Controls experience preferred.
• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ work experience.
• GCCH and GCCS certifications for some clients, OSHA 10 preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Perform control system engineering and design using standardized methods.
• Detail electrical control panels and start-up/debug of systems.

In this position, you will initiate and control the engineering, design, development, and testing of electrical control systems for various types of manufacturing, assembly, material handling, and process control operations. May travel to customer sites as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform control system engineering and design using standardized methods and practices
• Detailing and design of electrical control panels
• Writing and editing PLC software (Allen-Bradley ControlLogix)
• Editing and entering programmable operator interface software
• Perform the startup and debug of control systems of tools and equipment
• Providing technical support for the installation of tools and equipment
• Providing technical support for training of customer personnel
• Represent a professional company image in all customer contract situations
• Flexibility with travel
• Potential for long term assignments to solve facility related problems

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years Automation / Controls experience
• Bachelors preferred or equivalent work experience
• GM Experience preferred
• Rockwell and Siemens PLC / HMI experience
• Perform control system engineering and design using standardized methods and practices
• Detailing and design of electrical control panels
• Prefer Servo experience (Kinetic / Simatics)
• Editing and entering programmable operator interface software
• Perform the startup and debug of control systems of tools and equipment
• Providing technical support for training of customer personnel

Education and Experience:

• Required minimum High School Diploma with 5-8 years minimum Automation / Controls experience
• Preferred associate or bachelor’s degree with 3 years’ work experience
• Detailing and design of electrical control panels
• GCCH and GCCS certifications for some clients
• OSHA 10, Lockout training certificate preferred
