Our comprehensive offering includes: affordable medical, dental, and vision care; flexible spending accounts; life insurance; 401k with company match and much, much more.**Job Description**We are seeking a **Controls Engineer** for our **Salisbury, North Carolina Plant.****Functions and Responsibilities:*** Recommend equipment improvements and/or manufacturing methods that would result in improved quality or greater efficiency.* Coordinate all mechanical / electrical system modifications with external vendors, maintenance personnel and Facility Engineering Manager in regard to automation control.* Organize and maintain all system documentation (mechanical/electrical prints, software documentation and backups, path problems, robot configurations and parameters and configuration parameters).* Outline and maintain maintenance practices for automated systems and programs.* Design and implement software, electrical and mechanical automated systems from concept to full development and production launch.* Support and assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems.* Support Multiple PLC and electrical controlled automated systems.* Design, implement and support all human machine interface (HMI) hardware and software for automated systems.* Apply electrical and electronic theory and related knowledge to design, build, repair, calibrate, and/or modify electrical components, circuitry, controls and machinery.* Review equipment for electrical and electronic controls and recommend action to implement.* Assist in upgrading equipment.* Develop control-wiring schematics and maintain files.* Maintain all electrical and electrical upgrades on software and in hard copy in an orderly manner.* Maintain back-up files for all PLC and Robotic programs in an orderly manner.* Create documentation for production support and data collection.* Recommend stock items and quantities for equipment spare parts and production materials.* Recommend preventative maintenance items and schedules for equipment.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.* At least five years of experience in the practical application of engineering technologies to manufacturing processes with emphasis on automation, programming, vision systems, and control systems.* Trouble-shoot and program robotics, PLC’s, and electronics with automated equipment or machinery.* Experienced in an engineering field within a manufacturing environment.* Competence with PLCs, including programming.* Competence in personal computer Windows applications including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD.* Technical leadership.*If you enjoy innovation, and an opportunity to learn and contribute to a growing organization, CSP is the place for you!*
