Tarkett seeks an experienced Controls Engineer (Process and Plant) to lead electrical control system design and installation for PVC flooring accessory operations in Ohio. You will support existing equipment, drive upgrades, and collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and procurement to reduce process variation and drive cost savings.
You will design, troubleshoot, and implement PLC based systems, mentor technicians, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safe, reliable operation.
Tarkett is seeking an experienced and strategic Controls Engineer (Process and Plant) to join our successful and growing team in Chagrain Falls, Ohio. In this position you will be responsible for supporting our PVC Flooring Accessory operations by leading the electrical control system design and installation of new equipment. In this role you will also support existing equipment and plant operations, while recommending the upgrades and technology improvements. This position reports into the Engineering Manager and partners with Production, Quality, Safety, Procurement and Maintenance Departments to eliminate process variation and execute cost reduction opportunities with a focus on equipment control, technology upgrades and automation implementation. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hand and eye coordination, use hand/air/electrical power tools, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and depth perception. The employee must perform his/her job functions while observing Tarkett safety standards and regulations. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to fumes and airborne particles. Adherence to state and local health and safety mandates is required.
