Job summary

Tenneco in Ohio seeks a Controls Engineer to improve the manufacturing plant by designing and optimizing critical operational systems, leveraging data-driven insights and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Requires a 3+ year background in manufacturing controls, experience with industrial automation equipment and robotics, and familiarity with Allen Bradley, Siemens and Yaskawa robotics.

An Associate's degree in engineering or related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience as a Controls Engineer or in a similar role in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with industrial automation equipment and robotics.
• Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens and Yaskawa robotics strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gathering and analyzing data, blueprints, and reports.
• Determining facility and equipment specifications.
• Analyzing project costs and preparing budgets.
• Designing and overseeing the implementation of facility expansion, layout, various systems, and quality controls.
• Evaluating operational systems and equipment infrastructure to ascertain and improve operational efficiency.
• Developing processing plans and optimizing resource allocation.
• Planning and coordinating infrastructure and equipment upgrade schedules and activities.
• Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing upgrade activities.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
• Preparing reports and compliance documentation.
• Experience with AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and building codes.

This position is responsible for the improvement of our manufacturing plant and for assessing, designing, and optimizing critical operational systems, and overseeing the infrastructure and equipment. Leveraging data-driven insights and a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving, you enable long‑term success and set the standard for collaboration across the business.
