Job summary

Yanfeng International Automotive Technology Co. Ltd. seeks a Controls Engineer to diagnose, repair and optimize electrical and control systems across production equipment.

You will support the maintenance team, install new control hardware, and develop specifications for system upgrades while training staff on diagnostics and operation of PLCs and panel views. The role requires 3–5 years in controls or PLC programming, travel to customer sites, and knowledge of Allen Bradley systems, hydraulics,

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years as a controls engineer or PLC programmer.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in industrial plants.
  • Special knowledge of electronic design systems.
  • Ability to program and interface Allen Bradley drives and controls.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems related to controls.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical malfunctions on all equipment.
  • Assist maintenance in installing new electronic/electrical control equipment and bring it online.
  • Develop specifications for electrical control systems and modifications.
  • Provide technical support; plan and record periodic electrical analyses on equipment.
  • Recommend modifications or replacements to meet operating standards.
  • Provide training on operation and diagnostics of machine controls and motor controllers.
  • Research cost-effective upgrades and replacements for controls equipment.
  • Maintain electrical drawings, schematics, and backups for programs.
  • Suggest electrical spare parts inventory to maximize machine utilization.
  • Develop programming for PLCs, robots, and Panel Views to optimize quality and production.

Job Description
  • Diagnose and resolve causes ofelectrical and mechanical malfunctions on all equipment.
  • Assist the maintenance department in installing newelectronic/electrical control equipment and making it operational.
  • Develop engineering specifications for electrical control systems and equipment modifications.
  • Provide technical support to the maintenance department when required;Plan, directand record periodic electrical analysis on the production equipment.
  • Recommend and initiate modifications or replacement of equipment which fail to meet operating standards.
  • Provide training for the maintenance department on the operation and diagnostics of the machine controls andmotor controllers.
  • Research and implement cost effective upgrades to the equipment and facilities.
  • Research and implement the most cost-effectivereplacementof electrical control parts.
  • Keep updated electrical drawings and schematics on all production and plant equipment.Maintain master backups for all machine programs.
  • Recommend the electrical spare parts inventory for allnew and existing production equipment to insure maximum machine utilization.
  • Develop programming and provide support for ProgrammableLogic Controllers, Robots and Panel Views to maximize both quality and production.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to other facilities if needed.
  • Maintain current corporate programming standards.

Required Qualifications(Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience as a Controls Engineer, PLC Programmer, or equivalent role.
  • Must be able and willing to travel and work at customer sites, including industrial manufacturingplants which might require climbing, lifting, or working in confined spaces.
  • Special knowledge of electronic design systems.
  • Ability to program and interface Allen Bradley drives and controls systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems as it relates to controls of such systems.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLC programming.

Preferred Qualifications (Experience Level, Skills, Knowledge)

  • 3-5 Minimum Years of Experience within the automotive industry
  • Advanced level Allen Bradley PLC programming.
  • Ability to program mainline logic products (Siemens, Omron, Mitsubishi, etc)
  • Some knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as it relates to controls of such systems.
  • Advancedlevel in HMI interfaces and layouts for best operator experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate, program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial vision sensors and machine vision systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Industry 4.0 technologies, including connected devices, data acquisition systems, automation, and real-time manufacturing analytics.
  • Working knowledge and basic understanding of networking principles.
  • Experience leveraging manufacturing data to drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
