Job summary

Cec-Controls-Company-Inc in McDonough, GA is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to assist in research, design, development, and testing of automation systems and industrial controls in alignment with QOS policies and project specs.

You will review specifications, design non-standard systems, manage materials, assist installation, debug systems onsite, and complete as-built and quality reports, contributing to successful launches and ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Mechatronics Engineering or related field (or foreign equivalent).
• Two years of experience in Mechatronics/Electrical engineering roles.
• Experience must include: hardware design of conveyor controls, PLC and HMI programming, onsite system integration, and troubleshooting complex automation issues.

Job description

Duties:

Assist Research, design, develop, and test automation systems, intelligent systems, smart devices, and industrial system controls in alignment with company QOS policies, procedures, and instructions; review project specifications, and assist in resolving any differences between quotes and job specifications; perform system architecture tasks, including investigating non-standard materials and control panel power requirements and distribution; allocate unit-specific EBM letters; review specifications and standard practices, including internal hardwired and logic standards as well as general specifications and scope of work; design support on non-standard systems by generating system map layouts, sequences of operations, reviewing cycle time studies and dimension switch layouts, creating design packages, developing and entering control logic, and designing Smart Displays, including screens, PLC logic, and descriptions; manage material responsibilities, including advance material orders, specifying Mod Box and panel materials, and writing corresponding EBM’s; assist in installation, independently debug systems, support launch and standby activities, complete as-builts, gather baseline data per specifications, complete quality defect reports, submit as-builts to the Project Engineer, and complete unit cleanup sheets for submission to the Project Engineer.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor – Mechatronics Engineering or a related engineering field of study. Will accept equivalent of foreign degree.

Experience:

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, Mechatronics Engineer, Electrical

Engineer or a related role.

Experience must include:

• 1. Assist in Hardware design of Conveyor Controls
• 2. Develop PLC and HMI Programming; and
• 3. Perform Onsite System Integration
• 4. Troubleshoot complex automation issues.
