The Controls Engineer designs and develops PLC programs for material handling equipment. This position requires comprehensive knowledge of equipment, business, and customer requirements that drive the design of technical solutions. The engineer participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including analysis, design, electrical designs, installation support, electrical installation debugging, and supports other complementary engineering staff associated with electrical hardware engineering. The Controls Engineer works independently to resolve site requirement changes and supports solutions to complete designed equipment installations.
This position is travel‑intensive, requiring travel 60%-70% of the time. The typical schedule involves up to 10 days on the jobsite followed by 4 days off. Travel will be across the country to client sites. Candidates are compensated for travel time and are eligible for a daily per diem. The employer covers travel expenses.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr.
