Job summary

NPAworldwide is seeking a Controls Engineer in Montana to develop wiring schematics and component specifications while driving electrical and firmware system requirements. The role involves hands-on installation, commissioning, and startup of motion control systems including servo motors.

The candidate should hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, have PLC programming skills per IEC 61131-3, and practical C#/.NET development experience. U.S. citizenship is required due to project nature.

Qualifications

• Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree.
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming per IEC 61131-3.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft, C# .NET Application Development.
• Control system installation, commissioning, and startup motion control systems, including rotary and linear servo motors.
• MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE WORK.

In this role the Controls Engineer will develop point-to-point wiring schematics and electrical/electronic component specifications with oversight of fabricationDrive electrical and software/firmware system requirements and design.

Qualifications

Required experience & education:

• Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or similar engineering degree
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming per IEC 61131-3
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft, C# .NET Application Development
• Control system installation, commissioning, and startup motion control systems, including rotary and linear servo motors

Preferred Experience

• Custom control algorithm development and implementation
• Experience with electronic systems at the circuit board level
• Experience with programming embedded systems
