Job Responsibilities

• Execute and support the design, test, manufacture, and commissioning of low and medium voltage switchgear that controls multiple generators paralleling to utility sources
• Provide direction to designers for wiring and assembly drawings for generator paralleling switchgear controls
• Interact with customers to accomplish project milestones
• Create bill of materials for generator switchgear controls in ERP system
• Develop PLC programs for generator control systems
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Design, test, and commission control systems with various PLC controllers and manufacturers
• Develop control software utilizing different PLC platforms
• Interpret customer specifications and drawings, ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Customize PLC software and hardware templates

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field preferred
• 5-7 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in IEC 61131 PLC programming languages
• Expertise in at least one PLC platform (e.g., Schneider, Allen-Bradley, Woodward)
• Understanding of complex PLC-based systems
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and lead teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NEC, UL, CSA, and ANSI standards
• Understanding protective relays and generator protection
• Excellent communication and business skills
